Care and maintenance of Komatsu excavator filter elements
1. Precautions for installing filter elements in Komatsu excavators
1. Before installation, check whether the filter element is damaged and whether the O-ring is in good condition.

2. When installing the filter element, keep your hands clean, or wear clean gloves.

3. Before installation, apply Vaseline on the outside of the O-ring to facilitate installation.

4. When installing the filter element, do not remove the packaging plastic bag. Pull the plastic bag backwards. After the upper head is leaked out, hold the lower head of the filter element with the left hand and the filter element body with the right hand, and put the filter element into the filter element seat of the tray. , press down firmly, remove the plastic bag after installation.

The Komatsu excavator air filter should be replaced or cleaned at least every 2000 hours or when the warning light is on. The outer filter element can be washed up to 6 times and must then be replaced. The inner filter element is a one-time item, which cannot be cleaned and should be replaced directly. If the filter is damaged, it must also be replaced.

Use clean, dry compressed air with a maximum pressure of 5 BAR for compressed air. Do not bring the nozzle closer to 3 – 5 cm. Blow the filter clean from the inside along the pleats.
