The air-conditioning filter of the car is directly related to whether the nose of the passengers in the car can breathe healthy air. Regular cleaning of the air-conditioning filter of the car is of great significance to the health of the car and the human body.

During the use of the car air conditioning system, the air will accumulate a lot of dust, moisture, bacteria and other dirt in the air conditioning system during the circulation process. Over time, bacteria such as molds will breed, giving off odors, and causing damage and allergic reactions to the human respiratory system and skin, directly affecting the health of passengers, and the air-conditioning system itself will also cause failures such as poor cooling effect and small air output.

The air-conditioning filter is designed to avoid the above phenomenon, it effectively filters the dust, pollen and bacteria in the air, preventing the pollution of the interior of the air-conditioning system. Car air filters with activated carbon coatings also kill airborne bacteria and inhibit their regeneration. However, during the use of the air-conditioning system over time, dust and bacteria will gradually accumulate on the air-conditioning filter. When the air-conditioning system reaches a certain level, the above-mentioned series of failures will occur. Regular maintenance is required to maintain good air conditioning quality. Therefore, frequent cleaning and regular replacement of air conditioner filters are necessary tasks.

There are several types of air conditioner filters, what is the difference between them?

The air-conditioning filters we usually see are divided into three categories, ordinary filter paper (non-woven) air-conditioning filters, activated carbon filters and HEPA air-conditioning filters.

1. Ordinary filter paper (non-woven) type air conditioner filter element

Ordinary filter paper type air conditioner filter element mainly refers to the filter element whose filter layer is made of ordinary filter paper or non-woven fabric. By folding the white filament non-woven fabric to form pleats of a certain thickness, the air filtration is realized. Since it does not have other adsorption or filtering materials, it only uses non-woven fabrics to simply filter the air, so this filter element cannot have a good filtering effect on harmful gases or PM2.5 particles. Most models are equipped with the original air conditioner filter element of this type when they leave the factory.

2. Activated carbon double-effect filter

Generally speaking, the activated carbon filter is based on the fiber filter layer, adding an activated carbon layer to upgrade the single-effect filtration to double-effect filtration. The fiber filter layer filters impurities such as soot and pollen in the air, and the activated carbon layer adsorbs harmful gases such as toluene, thereby realizing double-effect filtration.
