How to identify the quality of excavator filter elements, and what are the hazards of inferior filter elements

With the advancement of engine technology, the requirements for excavator filters are getting higher and higher. The most harmful to the working performance and life of the excavator is the impurity particles and pollution entering the diesel engine. They are the number one killer of engines. Filters are the only way to avoid foreign particles and contamination. So, how to identify the quality of the filter element, and what are the hazards of inferior filters.
Excavator filter element quality

First, the common is the microporous filter paper filter element
The most common oil filter on the market today is basically a microporous filter paper filter. It is a special filter paper impregnated with this resin, which is heat-cured to increase its stiffness and strength, and then packed into an iron case. The shape is better maintained, and it can withstand a certain pressure, the filtration effect is better, and it is relatively cheap.

2. The waves of the filter element layer by layer look like a fan
Then, in the process of using this pure paper filter element, it is easy to be squeezed and deformed by this oil pressure. It is not enough to strengthen it by this paper. In order to overcome this, a net is added to the inner wall of the filter element, or a skeleton is inside. In this way, the filter paper looks like layers of waves, very similar to the shape of our fan, wrap it in a circle to improve its lifespan.

3. The service life is calculated according to the filtering effectiveness
Then the life of this machine filter is calculated according to its filtering effectiveness. It doesn't mean that the filter has been used until the filter is blocked, and the oil can't pass, and it is the end of its life. It means that its filtering effect is poor, and when it cannot play a good cleaning role, it is considered to be the end of its life.

Basically, its replacement cycle is around 5,000 to 8,000 kilometers. A good brand can last for more than 15,000 kilometers. For the oil filter we usually buy every day, we understand that 5,000 kilometers is almost its longest life. .
The filter was originally used to filter the harmful impurities in various substances entering the diesel engine. The engine can work normally under various working conditions and can reach the specified service life. However, counterfeit filters, especially inferior filters, not only fail to achieve the above effects, but instead bring various hazards to the engine.

Common hazards of inferior filter elements
1. Using cheap filter paper to make excavator filter element, because of its large pore size, poor uniformity and low filtration efficiency, it cannot effectively filter out harmful impurities in the material entering the engine, resulting in early engine wear.

2. The use of low-quality adhesives cannot be firmly bonded, resulting in a short circuit at the bonding point of the filter element; a large number of harmful impurities enter the engine, which will reduce the life of the diesel engine.

3. Replace oil-resistant rubber parts with ordinary rubber parts. During use, due to the failure of the internal seal, the internal short circuit of the filter is formed, so that part of the oil or air containing impurities directly enters the excavator engine. Causes early engine wear.

4. The material of the center pipe of the excavator oil filter is thin instead of thick, and the strength is not enough. During the use process, the center pipe is sucked and deflated, the filter element is damaged and the oil circuit is blocked, resulting in insufficient engine lubrication.

5. Metal parts such as filter element end caps, central tubes, and casings are not treated with anti-rust treatment, resulting in metal corrosion and impurities, making the filter a source of pollution.
