Generator set filter introduction

First, the diesel filter element

Diesel filter element is one of the important components to ensure the quality of diesel engine oil intake. It is a special diesel purification equipment for diesel used in internal combustion engines. It can filter out more than 90% of mechanical impurities, colloids, asphaltene, etc. in diesel, which can ensure the cleanliness of diesel to the greatest extent and improve the service life of the engine. At the same time, it can effectively block the fine dust and moisture in diesel oil, and can effectively prolong the service life of fuel injection pumps, diesel nozzles and other filter elements.

Second, the oil-water separator

The oil-water separator literally means to separate oil and water. The principle is to use the principle of gravity sedimentation to remove impurities and water according to the density difference between water and fuel. There are separation elements such as diffusion cones and filter screens inside. The structure and function of the engine oil water separator and the diesel filter element are different. The oil-water separator can only separate water and cannot filter impurities. There is a drain plug underneath, which can be drained regularly without replacement. Diesel filters filter out impurities and need to be replaced regularly.

Third, the air filter

The air filter element is a kind of filter, also known as air filter cartridge, air filter, style, etc. The engine takes in a large amount of air during its operation. If the air is not filtered, the dust suspended in the air will be sucked into the cylinder, which will accelerate the wear of the piston group and the cylinder. Larger particles enter between the piston and the cylinder, which will cause serious "squeeze the cylinder", which is especially serious in the dry and sandy working environment. The air filter is installed in front of the carburetor or the intake pipe to filter out dust and sand particles in the air to ensure sufficient and clean air entering the cylinder. 

Fourth, the oil filter

The oil filter element is also called the oil filter. The oil itself contains a certain amount of colloid, impurities, water and additives. The function of the oil filter is to filter out sundries, colloids and moisture in the oil, and to deliver clean oil to each lubricating part. Reduce the wear of parts and prolong the service life of the engine.

Summary: ①The diesel filter needs to be replaced every 400 hours in the diesel generator set. The replacement cycle also depends on the quality of the diesel. If the quality of the diesel is poor, the replacement cycle needs to be shortened. ②The oil filter needs to be replaced every 200 hours when the diesel generator set works. ③Replace the air filter according to the display of the indicator. If the air quality in the area where the diesel generator set is used is poor, the replacement cycle of the air filter should also be shortened.
